White bean paté

Preparation time: 10 minutes 

Serves: 6


  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 440g can cannellini or butter beans, drained
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin


1. Sauté onion and garlic in a non-stick pan with oil until onion is soft. Remove from heat. 

2. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. 

3. Put into a serving dish and chill until firm, approximately 30 minutes.


  • Serve with vegetable crudités, multi-grain toast or pita bread.
