Applicable to: This Policy applies to all Health Service Providers except Health Support Services and PathWest. The Policy is not applicable to the following Health Care Facilities: Fiona Stanley Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Fremantle Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital and Graylands Hospital Campus.

Description: The Health Care Facilities Medical Advisory Policy (Policy) requires the establishment of Medical Advisory Committees for certain Health Care Facilities and prescribes a Standard for Terms of Reference of Medical Advisory Committees.

This Policy is a mandatory requirement under the Employment Policy Framework pursuant to section 26(2)(d) of the Health Services Act 2016 (WA).
