Last call for 2022 Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Award nominations

Nominations for the 2022 Western Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards (WANMEA) are closing soon.

Western Australia has over 39,000 nurses and midwives and the sectors and settings that they work in are incredibly diverse.

The WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards are firmly focused on recognising excellence and all worthy Western Australian nurses and midwives, irrespective of their area of practice or place of work, are eligible for nomination.

These prestigious awards recognise excellence across 11 nursing and midwifery categories, and nurses and midwives from all sectors of health care, and from both metropolitan and rural areas are eligible.

The Awards are judged by an expert panel that represents a broad cross-section of the nursing and midwifery professions in WA and includes consumer representation. These Awards are an acknowledgement of our nurses and midwives who go above and beyond to improve outcomes for Western Australians across the state.

The WANMEA is in its 17th year and is supported by the Minister for Health.

Nominations close 14 December 2021, and finalists will be announced in March, with winners declared in May 2022.
