WA Health is reporting a total of 5,422 new cases to 6pm last night. There are currently 29,457 active cases in Western Australia.
To 6pm last night, there were 442 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 17 in ICU.
Sadly, today’s report includes three deaths, which were reported to WA Health yesterday – dating back to 24 July – two women in their 90s, and a man in his 70s.

Of the 5,422 cases, 1,990 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 3,432 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total of 7,568 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
WA has recorded 1,048,353 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
In line with national guidelines, WA Health has adjusted the total number of reported cases in this State, to preclude secondary positive test results within 12 weeks of leaving isolation following initial COVID infection.
