HACC – Over 65s or Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders aged 50 or over

On 1 July 2018, WA Home and Community Care (HACC) services for older people (aged 65 years and over and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 years and over) transitioned to the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).

The transition of WA HACC services to the CHSP aligns Western Australia with arrangements that have already been implemented in all other states and territories.

How to access services

Older people who require support now have a new entry point for access to aged care services. This entry point is My Aged Care.

My Aged Care is designed to give you more choice, control and easier access to a full range of aged care services. It includes a website My Aged Care (external site) and the My Aged Care contact centre (1800 200 422).
