WA’s free Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) distribution program has concluded.

Around 90 million RATs were distributed to help keep the community safe during the pandemic. You can still purchase RATs as required through supermarkets, pharmacies, and other retailers.

RATs remain an important tool for the WA public to self-manage COVID-19, however. you no longer need to register your positive RAT results with the WA Department of Health.

Western Australians are still encouraged to keep up good hygiene practises and to remain vigilant about COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses.

You should stay home if you are sick, wash or sanitise your hands regularly, cover coughs, and, importantly, get vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza.

Keeping up to date with vaccinations remains the best way to prevent serious disease and hospitalisation from COVID-19.
