Be prepared for extreme heat

Extreme heat can cause serious illness, especially for people most at risk. Heatwaves are becoming more frequent and more intense in WA, increasing the likelihood of dehydration, heat stress and heat stroke.

The Be prepared for extreme heat campaign provides clear, timely, and accessible information to help the community understand the risks and take simple action to stay safe. The campaign also encourages people to look out for vulnerable family members, neighbours and friends.

The campaign runs statewide across the summer and includes radio, social media and supporting resources for local governments.
